Dr. Edward Kessler D.C. graduated magna cum laude from Life University in metro Atlanta, GA, with a doctorate in chiropractic in 1983, and he has been serving Virginia Beach in private practice since 1985. With over 30 years of experience as an alternative medicine practitioner, he is committed to relieving pain and restoring optimal health and balance in the body through natural alternative treatments.

 

“My origins as a healer began when I attended Penn State University in the early 1970s. I was a botany major, practiced yoga, vegetarianism, and meditation, and studied herbal medicine. Serendipitous as it may seem, one afternoon while jogging in” earth shoes” (negative heel), I injured my lower back and hamstring muscles. I went to the Penn State Student Health Center for care for this injury, which included muscle relaxers, painkillers, and physical therapy. In spite of eight weeks of treatment, the pain did not abate. A fellow classmate suggested that I seek the services of his chiropractor for help. Not only did I get dramatic, immediate relief, but the chiropractic philosophy that the body has innate wisdom of how to heal itself appealed to me. At that time, I instinctively knew that there must be a form of energy medicine. The science, art, and philosophy of chiropractic seemed to be closely aligned to that ideal.”

 

In the summer of 1980, I began my training at Life University. Once there, I felt I had found my calling, kindred spirits, and their shared passion for healing and service. I moved to Virginia Beach with my wife in 1984, largely in part due to the legacy of Edgar Cayce and the A.R.E. I raised my children and have served the oceanfront community of Virginia Beach ever since. 

 

My specialty is low force chiropractic and Contact Reflex Analysis, or CRA (a system of muscle testing designed to assess the structural, nutritional, and energetic needs of the body to promote optimal health and wellness). Healing arts imply the intuitive sixth sense. The gift I bring to my service is that of a medical intuitive, which greatly enhances my outcomes with patients. Most of my patients who come to me for service have been referred by the people I’ve helped.
